Wow, what a fabulous wedding and a truly gorgeous celebration of love! This is what you get when you throw into the mix one tres crazy cute couple (who at times alternated between being nervous, giggling, joyous, exuberant and just plain happy to be together), two ecstatically happy families, the most exquisite and utterly divine gown by Elie Saab, a stunning tiara from the Lannoy family vaults and an amazing line up of European royal guests. The youngest of eight siblings, the beautiful and serene Stéphanie was escorted down the aisle by her eldest brother as her 91 year old father is confined to a wheelchair. When she arrived at the altar, her father was able to stand with assistance to give her away to Guillaume. The religious service began with a minute’s silence in honour of Stéphanie’s recently passed mother, whose engagement ring she wore along with her own. After this solemn start, the service continued with the bride and groom stealing beyond sweet glances at each other and finally emerging from the cathedral to the cheers of the waiting crowd. And they kissed not once, not twice, but three times on the palace balcony, all the time waving enthusiastically, bless. Congratulations to our gorgeous and humble couple, Stéphanie and Guillaume, may they have a long and blissfully happy life together!
